TV one is privately Indonesian channel. National television station owned it in East Jakarta. It is also known as Lativi. This name is given on 30 July 2002. This name changed on 14 February 2008 and represented it as TV One. Media Asia owned TV One channel.
Brief History of TV One
Latvia is one of the five national television stations that awarded a license to broadcast nationwide in Indonesia. It is the property by Abdul Latif. Abdul Latif is the previously Minister of Labor and famous entrepreneur. In 2006 Lativi involved in some controversy issue that related a 9-year-old boy. The boy died after suffering injuries that compared to watching SmackDown. But nothing was proven the circumstances of the Death. After this Lativi succumbed and pulled all of its programs on November 29, 2006.
Ownership transferred to Aburizal Bakrie and Erick Thohir from 2007. And it is moved due to poor management.
The first anchored newscasts are Divi Lukmansyah and Nane Nindya. They are husband and wife and worked as a team. TV One started it’s officially broadcasting on air on Thursday. President of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Vice President of Indonesia Jusuf Kalla at Merdeka. Merdeka is the place in Jakarta. TV one channel is the second Indonesian channel that inaugurated by the President of Indonesia himself.
