SCTV (Surya Citra Televisi) is a famous Indonesian TV station that is based in Jakarta. It is broadcasting on UHF nationwide.
It started transmission on August 24, 1990 in Surabaya. At the time of its starting service the station was not much popular but as time passed it is becoming more and more popular in all over the world due to its colorful programming. In Start of SCTV its programming was similar to RCTI including some news programs but later on they start producing their own programs. Its main office is located in central Jakarta and studios are present in West Jakarta. It was launched on August 24, 1990.
